We are looking for a Data Operations Engineer to join our Data Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and operating the data platform that enables EasyPark to win through data. You will play a key role in improving EasyPark’s data maturity and contributing to our global growth.
Your daily responsibilities
- Together with the team, plan for and deliver features and technical enhancements that evolve the global data platform, making it more fit-for-purpose, cost-efficient, performant, and scalable.
- Taking responsibility for the quality of the software produced and the platform offering that the team owns. Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements to the components of the data platform
- Providing regular, effective peer code reviews with short feedback loops
- Actively participating in team ceremonies and discovery activities, taking co-ownership for the team’s overall ways of working
- Taking responsibility for designing, refining, estimating, planning, and managing tasks with the rest of the team and communicating progress on ongoing tasks
- Interacting with users of the data platform and internal stakeholders as necessary to clarify and understand their needs
- Working directly with the Engineering Manager, the rest of the team and the Tech Lead to shape the architecture and implementation of new features or capabilities
We need you to have
- 4+ years of professional experience as a data engineer
- Excellent Python and SQL skills
- Good software engineering skills (version control, CI/CD, SDLC knowledge, etc.)
- Experience with building and maintaining data pipelines
- Experience with modern, cloud-based data warehouses
Would be great if you have
- Nice to have: experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts and Terraform
- Nice to have: experience with data modelling techniques and frameworks
